Stage 1 - Get cover for the activities you'll be participating in
Choose your travel policy; if you are travelling once this year Single trip is ideal, but anymore than that get yourself an Annual Multi trip policy, it could be cheaper.
6 months or more you should have a look at Explorer Gap Year travel insurance.
Then select your Activity category; you will then have cover for all the activities in the category plus any in the lower categories. There are several activities covered for FREE so you may not even need to pay an additional premium!
Stage 2 - Get cover for your sports equipment plus your sporty clothing
We can cover your adventure/ sports, camping and airsports equipment plus your sporty clothing and personal effects. As long as the value of the equipment is no more than £10,000 we'll cover the lot.
Stage 3 - Decide if you need additional Personal Accident cover
The standard single and annual multi trip travel policies cover you for personal accident up to £25,000. However, if this is not enough to cover your income should you fall ill or have an accident you might want to consider taking out an Annual Personal Accident policy. It can provide cover for a number of sports and activities and up to 4x your annual income.
